About

Mark Militar

Mark Militar is a photographer and visual storyteller based in New York. His work spans sports, portraiture, documentary, and travel, with each image rooted in raw, honest emotion.

With a background in both editorial and long-form documentary work, Mark approaches every shoot with patience and intention. He looks beyond the action on the field or court to the community, the fans, and the pride surrounding the game, tying it all together to tell the full story.

Mark is a co-founder and the lead photo and video shooter for Forgotten By Four (FBFOUR), a Staten Island sports media company spotlighting the athletes, fans, and stories too often forgotten by the other four boroughs.

From Staten Island parks to Madison Square Garden to the streets of Japan, he's always chasing the feeling, not just the frame.

All work published with intent.
